Alyssa
A flower blooms through insanity and chaos
Replacing it with intelligence and order
The petals pigments bleed together, color
after color
The lush smooth petals project a song
Like a peaceful symphony whispering in your
ear
A melody for only you to hear
Each beloved friend that holds the bud in
their hands
Sees the reflection of themselves
The good and the bad are clearly visible in
it
No matter; the colors shine brighter and
pleasure their eyes
It holds on affectionately as they hold it
closer
But the truth does not sever them
The beating of their hearts pulses through
the flower
The warmth of their hands makes it grow
strong
And though it is intertwined with all of
them,
It grows alone
Calmly reaching out, seeking its own path,
leaving them behind
But they are the foundation, making all
wonders for it possible
The flower thrives through any weather
It blooms its biggest blossom, the petals
dancing around it
Rejoicing in harmony as it begins to rain
gently
The water soaks the petals; making them
soft, releasing
A sweet scent that kisses the raindrops and
Seen through the crystal drops are the
small reflections
Of the beloved friends who loved the flower
since it was a bud.
I thought it was great. I like how you related yourself to a flower.
ReplyDelete"Love me more than anyone else and I will love you no matter what." I love how you included this quote. It shows what a kind hearted person you are.
ReplyDeleteThis was so great. I loved it. I'm so proud. I love how you compared yourself to the flower. You are a flower and we will help you blossom.
ReplyDeleteI found it is unique that you didn't directly describe yourself but through a flower. This is a very well written poem. I also agree with your final quote.
ReplyDeleteYou're first stanza was amazing and I liked how you kept the theme of the flower going throughout the whole poem.
ReplyDeleteAlyssa,
ReplyDeleteExcellent job! This was very creative to show the extended metaphor throughout the poem and how you compare yourself to a flower! Well done.
Alyssa, you did a great job. I'm glad you at least tried. It was a really good poem and had lots of meaning.
ReplyDeleteI really like the ending of your poem and how you used great description.
ReplyDeleteI like how you talked about a flower and how it fit in perfectly with the rest of the poem and it flowed very nicely.
ReplyDeleteI like a everything about this poem. It involves some suspense and a nice touch of sincerity
ReplyDeleteAlyssa, when I first met you last year, you were 10x as quiet then you were just now. As the poem said, you have blossomed into a great flower.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you compared yourself to a flower, and described it in a way where you could really understand the way you're feeling. The poem was deep and brought out a side of you people never really get to see.
ReplyDeleteI like how you added that ending saying "~love me more than anyone else and I will love you no matter what." This shows that you are a really caring person and you will show people that they should be loved for them and not what what people seen them as.
ReplyDeleteI love how you describe yourself while using a description of a flower, it was very beautiful. Also describing your friends as they hold the bud in their hands. Great selection of words.
ReplyDeleteAlyssa good job. I'm glad you were able to read a little bit for us I know it was a big step for you. I like how you used to flower as symbol for yourself and the quote at the end makes me want to love you even more than what I already do now.
ReplyDeleteI really like how you used an extended metaphor with the flower. It was great!
ReplyDeleteAlyssa, I love how your main focus of the poem was on the flower (which was actually you). A great example of extended metaphor!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adored how you compared yourself to a flower, which you are. You are a beautiful flower with soft blue petals with a delicate frame yet you have a strong stem to support you. And how you your friends are the foundation on which you grew from. Just beautifully done
